The mission of the
USA Athletic Congress (USAAC) is (a) to promote good
sportsmanship and fair play among athletes across the USA (b)
to support sports and sporting activities (c) recognize those
athletes that have shown outstanding performance and/or progression
within their respected sports (d) to work with International
Federations (IF) and National Governing Bodies (NGB) to develop and/or
improve sports participation across the world in their respected sports
(e) to increase the number of coaches and officials within all
sports.

2010 FEI
World Equestrian Games |

This final vote handed down by the Fédération
Equestre Internationale (FEI) selection committee will likely draw more
than 300,000 attendees and millions of television viewers from around
the world. In addition, the games would have a potential economic
impact of nearly $100 million - the financial equivalent of hosting two
NCAA men's basketball Final Four championships. The Kentucky Horse Park
will host the games for two weeks in September and October of 2010.

President's
Volunteer Service Award |

The USA Athletic Congress (USAAC) is an official
certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award. If
you are an affiliate or member organization of the USAAC, your
volunteers do qualify to receive this award. If you are a volunteer for
the USAAC you are already entered into our PSVA database upon
acceptance. The President’s
Volunteer Service Award recognizes individuals, families, and groups
that have achieved a certain standard – measured by the number of hours
of service over a 12-month period. |

JamSkate Federation -

The
USA Athletic Congress (USAAC) has created the American JamSkate
Federation (AJSF). The American JamSkate Federation will help to
insure the integrity and protect the future of the sport, provides
programs and services and will help to enhances the experience of
competitors. The USAAC and the AJSF have been working over the past
4 months to come up with an official scoring system. On January 1st,
2010 the official scoring system was approved by both the USAAC and
the AJSF.
